MARKOS HUGHES

Markos joined the Elevation team in 2023 as an architectural graduate. Markos was born in Ethiopia and completed his architecture degrees at the Queensland University of Technology. With a passion for sustainable architecture and disaster response, Markos undertook further studies in Barcelona and Milan, where he focused on international development and emergency architecture.

Markos is particularly interested in how good design can improve the community, especially for social development, and he is always keen to learn and apply his skills to maximise the best outcomes. Prior to Elevation, Markos worked on a variety of projects, including schools, aged care and local council facilities in South East Queensland and Sydney.

As a big fan of the great outdoors, Markos loves hiking and camping, and has started going on motorbike camping adventures.
