Tor Goldsmith grew up in a modelmaking studio, so the desire to design and make things is part of her DNA. Looking at and building the world in miniature naturally evolved into pursuing a career in architecture, where she now gets to see her ideas and creations come to life in full scale.

Thriving on the challenge of working within the existing built environment, she loves working on renovations, refurbishments, alterations, additions and interiors, where she can use her skills in functional analysis and spatial planning to generate design outcomes that greatly improve the end user experience .

Over the years she has developed a particular passion for heritage conservation and adaptive re-use projects, unsolicited art and architecture and the notion of ‘placemaking’. Outside the office you can usually find her exploring these quirky worlds and volunteering in other creative endeavors, always with a camera in hand.
