Woolworths Street Childcare Centre

This was a relatively smooth-sailing project, as we were engaged to document the fit-out of the childcare centre only.

• Located in a mixed-use building (medical/retail on ground level and childcare on L1 and L2). Had to ensure that the childcare centre had separate access to the other uses for security purposes.
• Novation from Client to Niclin Group (builder)
• Working with another architect who did the base build
• Different architect completed the DA package (Rothelowman) to the documentation package (Arch Collaborative)
• We were left in the dark on some coordination items
• Clients wanting to change things throughout the construction process, and having to negotiate these with Niclin Group
• Client changing items in their spec through the build process
