Harmony Childcare Centre Burleigh

Our Client came to us with a site located in Burleigh Heads QLD, and the brief to design a new type of childcare centre that integrates a more sculptural, playful design language, reflective of the function of the proposed building as an early childhood centre. As the site is located along a major road network and is also bordered by residential properties to the south and west, we needed to give careful consideration to how we treat the most prominent façades of the building, as well as think through how to best shield the residential properties from potential noise from the outdoor play areas. Keeping these factors in mind, we were able to successfully accommodate a total of 111 childcare places on this site, which will go a long way in providing highly sought-after, additional childcare opportunities for families in the local area.
