Grayson Street Townhouses

On a tight and steeply sloping site in the upmarket suburb of Morningside, Elevation Architecture were engaged to design and deliver 4 high-end townhouses.  Site setbacks and height constraints meant that the townhouses needed to be a combination of 2 and 3 story, relatively narrow dwellings that step up with the hill.  To maximise light and ventilation, open plan living spaces open out onto generous decks with unobstructed city views.   Adding to the street appeal, the townhouses are designed to balance the client’s desire for a ‘modern’ look with the BCC traditional building character overlay by using weatherboard cladding, batten screening and neutral tones.  The result is an attractive street-frontage that fits well in the context of contemporary Brisbane residential architecture.
