Balmoral Childcare Centre

Elevation Architecture were approached in late 2017 by Harmony to detail up the project and bring it from concept to reality. With the original sketch design & development application drawings having already been completed by Alto Architects, Elevation worked to add further construction detail & development to the existing concept of a high-end childcare centre.

The proposed Centre reuses two existing character houses that were already located on the site. The proposal involved raising the houses to build basement and ground levels below, with a new lightweight roof structure introduced to the first floor, which floats over the new suspended play deck and forms a contemporary link between the character homes.

Balmoral Childcare Centre brings an additional 113 sought-after childcare places to the neighbourhood, for children up to 5 years of age. Construction was completed mid-2019.
